Photos, X-rays, Health History

We like to have a thorough understanding of your oral and medical health history. We believe your oral and overall health can be directly connected, so it is important we have an understanding of both before we recommend a treatment plan for you.

Functional Analysis

Why would your dentist be looking at your posture? Believe it or not, your posture and airway have the potential to reveal issues related to your jaw and neck muscles and possibly explain the cause of oral health concerns.

Examination of Teeth & Gums

Dr. Blunston will perform a thorough examination of your teeth and gums so we can get a better picture of your oral health.

Consultation

You will have the opportunity to sit down with Dr. Blunston and discuss any of your concerns or desires for your oral health and smile. We will visually show you your current oral condition.

**Please note exams can vary from patient to patient. This is an example of a typical new patient exam.

Relax with NuCalm

NuCalm is a safe system that relaxes you without the use of drugs. It brings your body to the first stage of sleep, allowing you to feel a deep sense of calm. NuCalm uses four steps to help you reach your most relaxed state, including a natural dietary supplement, microcurrent stimulation patches, noise canceling headphones, and light-blocking eye masks.

A different take on numbing injections

Before we perform the numbing injection, we use a topical numbing gel to minimize the feeling in your gums. With this approach, many patients do not feel the injection at all. For those with a fear of needles, we use a tool for the injection that looks more like a wand than a needle. Our goal is to keep you as comfortable and at-ease as possible.
